Cooking Course - Trip Around the World
Throughout the academic year, a fixed class of kidchefs aged 10 to 14 travels the world without leaving Laranjeiras: one destination at a time, on Thursdays, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, in small groups and without screens. They cook the world and dine on what they prepare.
There are 7 modules, from October to June, each with its own destination. The recipes are compiled in a Kidchen ebook, to be replicated at home, and on June 17th there is the Grand Banquet, where families taste the entire world tour.
Enrollment in the course costs €65, paid once, and includes a chef's kit and a guaranteed spot in the class. Each module is then paid separately: €125 per module (4 sessions, dinner included) and €90 for the Christmas Special (2 sessions).
10% discount on the total for two or more spots, whether for siblings, with a friend, or for more than one experience. Applied automatically in the cart.
Registration: €65, paid once. It includes the chef kit (exclusive Kidchen apron, tea towel, and safe knives) and guarantees a place in the class.
Each module: €125, with 4 sessions and dinner included, invoiced at the beginning of each module. The Christmas Special has 2 sessions and costs €90.
There are 7 modules throughout the year, from October to June. There is no loyalty scheme: you register module by module.
10% total discount for two or more places, whether for siblings, with a friend, or for more than one experience. Applies automatically in the cart.
Each session is a stop on the journey: they cook dishes from the destination and, around the kitchen, discover a little about its geography, culture, and traditions, with small math and science challenges along the way. In the end, they dine at the table what they prepared and record the journey in the logbook. The content changes from destination to destination, class after class.
At the end of the journey, in June, there is the Grand Banquet: families sit at the table and taste the entire round-the-world trip.
- 1 · Europe: Oct 8, 15, 22 and 29 (Italy, France, Spain, Greece)
- 2 · Central America: Nov 5, 12, 19 and 26 (Mexico and Caribbean)
- Christmas Special: Dec 3 and 10
- 3 · Asia: Jan 7, 14, 21 and 28 (Japan, China, Korea)
- 4 · South America: Feb 4, 11, 18 and 25 (Brazil, Peru, Argentina)

All the recipes from the course are gathered in a Kidchen ebook, to which students have access. This way, each travel destination can be repeated at home, with the family, whenever they feel like it.

Registration guarantees a place in the class and is non-refundable, as it includes the chef kit delivered at the beginning of the course.
Each module is paid separately. You may withdraw from a subsequent module by notifying us up to 7 days before the start of that module, via WhatsApp (+351 91 376 41 34) or loja@kidchen.pt. Modules that have already started are neither refundable nor divisible by class.
Student absences do not entitle you to replacement or refund, regardless of the reason. The recipes for that class are always available in the course e-book.
If Kidchen cancels a class, or if it does not take place due to circumstances beyond our control, we will reschedule the session for another date.
How does payment work?
The enrolment fee (€65) is paid once and includes the chef's kit. After that, each module is invoiced separately: €125 per module of 4 sessions, including dinner, and €90 for the Christmas Special (2 sessions).
Is the enrolment fee paid for all modules?
No. The enrolment fee is paid only once and remains valid throughout the academic year, regardless of the modules you choose to attend. It is not mandatory to complete all modules or to attend them consecutively. For example, you can enrol, attend the 1st module, take a break from subsequent modules, and return for the 4th module without paying a new enrolment fee. Enrolment is only required again at the beginning of a new academic year.
Is there a discount for siblings?
Yes. For two or more spots, there is a 10% discount on the total, whether for siblings, with a friend, or for more than one experience. It is applied automatically in the cart.
Do I have to do the whole year?
No. You enrol module by module, without a long-term commitment. However, the class is fixed, and the journey was designed as a progression, from October to the Grand Banquet in June.
Do children have dinner in class?
Yes. Classes are from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, and the kidchefs eat what they cook, so there's no need to have dinner beforehand.
Do I need to bring anything?
No. Ingredients and materials are included, and the chef's kit is provided at the beginning of the course.
What if the child has allergies or dietary restrictions?
Please inform us beforehand. We adapt whenever possible, so that everyone can cook and eat safely.
What if I miss a class?
Student absences do not entitle you to a replacement or refund. The recipes from that session will be included in the course ebook, so you can catch up at home. If Kidchen cancels, we will reschedule the class for another date.
What happens after I enrol?
You will receive an email to fill in the participant's details, and before the start, practical information and the complete module calendar.
A maximum of 12 students per class, with a team specialised in children's culinary arts. The class remains the same throughout the year, so the kidchefs grow together, lesson after lesson.
