MINI-CHEFS IN THE VIRTUAL WORLD

The virtual world enters our homes daily, and children are increasingly captivated by it, loving to watch videos on YouTube.

Our children's heroes are no longer superheroes, artists, or athletes... but rather YouTubers, vloggers, and gamers.

Being a YouTuber is the dream of many boys and girls of all ages. A survey of about 1000 children and teenagers, aged between 6 and 17, concluded that about 1/3 dream of a profession in the digital world.

Being rich and famous is everyone's main argument to justify this dream.

I hear a lot of criticism that social media, and its protagonists, distort principles and feed dangerous dreams and illusions to children.
But wasn't that the same reason we admired actors and singers in our childhood? Didn't we also aspire to fame and wealth?
It is up to us as parents to guide our children in how they perceive the world, it is our duty to guide what they should or should not watch and help them interpret the messages they receive every day.
João Maria, like so many children, also wants to be a YouTuber. I used his dream to create something where he can acquire many other skills and knowledge, and more importantly, understand that behind the videos and photos he sees on his tablet screen are many hours of work, knowledge, and dedication!
I believe this will be the best lesson I can give him to understand the importance of getting involved and committed to what we want and believe in!

João's snacks

This is João Maria, he is 7 years old, and he likes radical activities: surfing, skateboarding, break-dancing, and he also loves to cook! That is to say, he loves to eat and really likes to play and learn to cook.
Here are some more mini-chefs from different parts of the world. Some are very good at cooking, others make a lot of mess, but they can make your day much more fun!

Tiago's Show

Tiago is a Brazilian boy who has a YouTube channel called Tiago's Show. He's a fan of Elvis Presley, talks about games, does scientific experiments, gives series tips, philosophizes, and also invents recipes. His microwave mug cakes don't always turn out well. But he always gets brigadeiros, cookies, cupcakes right... It's worth following his videos, which are always a guarantee of fun and knowledge.

KichaTube HD

The Indian boy Nihal Raj, better known by the nickname Kicha, became world-famous at 6, when he cooked on American host Ellen DeGeneres' show. He prepares several traditional Indian dishes, but also dishes from other cultures. Like all children, he loves pizza, chocolate cake, and ice cream.

Susie's cooking show

Susie is an American girl who appeared on the internet in January 2019. Despite being very young, she has already taught several sweet and savory recipes on her channel: pizza, pecan pie, fish-shaped cookies, ricotta cake, and other delicious recipes.
